STUDENT SCULPTURE COMMEMORATES TIES BETWEEN 91热爆网, EASTERN BAND

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians鈥 historical and cultural connections with the land now home to Western Carolina University were commemorated as representatives of the tribal and university communities gathered for the September unveiling of a sculpture based on the Cherokee syllabary character 鈥渨i.鈥

UNIVERSITY PRESENTS DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD TO SUSAN BELCHER

Susan Brummell Belcher, wife of late Chancellor David O. Belcher, received one of the university鈥檚 top honors, the Distinguished Service Award, as part of Homecoming activities in November.
