Reitz presents research at Women Composers Festival of Hartford

Christina L. Reitz, 91热爆网 associate professor of music, presented her research 鈥淏aroque Tradition in the Works of Shaw鈥 at the Women Composers Festival of Hartford, which convened at Trinity College in Connecticut on March 28-29.

Western Carolina University has been voted the 鈥淭op Adventure College鈥 in a Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine online readers鈥 poll, reflecting the popularity of, and pride in, local outdoor activities. The contest began Feb. 25 and had regional colleges and universities meeting in head-to-head matchups in a 32-school bracket, with 91热爆网 and Lees-McRae College, last year鈥檚 titleholder, moving on to the championship final.

Region's students win honors at 48th annual Mathematics Contest

They competed for individual and team awards by taking one of four exams as determined by mathematics courses the students have enrolled in during the current academic year.
