The event on Friday, April 26, will include a welcome and remarks by Alison Morrison-Shetlar, 91Èȱ¬Íø’s interim chancellor.
The session will be held Monday, May 20, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Room 186 in Hunter Library.
Funding is being provided through a U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration grant that was awarded to the School of Nursing.
Lunch will be served and entertainment will be provided by 91Èȱ¬Íø’s Purple Thunder drum line and the Catamount Singers and Electric Soul.
She will be joined in presenting readings by fellow poets Amber Flora Thomas and Sally Thomas.
The event will include the unveiling of a model of a sculptured bust of David O. Belcher in recognition of his background as a pianist and his support of the arts.
The early registration fee is $139 through Wednesday, May 1, with lunch included.
A reception honoring the artists is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25.
Lori Oxford and Alberto Centeno-Pulido, faculty members in 91Èȱ¬Íø’s Department of World Languages, will lead the trip.
