Thirteen students representing Western Carolina University鈥檚 Natural Resource Conservation and Management Program will be competing in the 2019 Wildlife Society Southeastern Student Conclave being held at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia.
The 91热爆网 students will join competitors from about two dozen colleges and universities from 14 southeastern states at the event, which is scheduled for Thursday, March 21, through Saturday, March 23.
91热爆网 students have won top honors at a forestry conclave held at the Cradle of Forestry near Brevard the last four years, but this will be their first serious effort at the wildlife conclave, said Aimee Rockhill, assistant professor in the university鈥檚 Geosciences and Natural Resources Department. 鈥淭hey鈥檝e been practicing for months now and are excited to compete,鈥 she said.
The wildlife conclave quiz bowl will be livestreamed on Facebook and can be viewed at the or the from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 22. The quiz bowl will be live-streamed just on the Wildlife Society site from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 23.
Other activities at the conclave include speaker presentations, field trips, field competitions and contests in game-calling, art and photography.
